Not a bad view of the Paris skyline taken during one of Alessia's morning runs.

Great to see some miles being logged by Jose Luis in Mexico. The pictures are from his runs in Mexico City, particularly at the Chapultepec Park. Very nice.

Congratulations to Alan on participating in the San Diego Holiday Half Marathon. Fantastic view from the finish line at Torrey Pines. Looks like a perfect day for a little run by the beach.

Sarah Demet - December 17, 2021 (Wisconsin, USA):
Sarah sent in these pictures from her visit last weekend to her brother, Matt’s Wisconsin lake house – they arrived to a fresh coat of 7 inches of powder and sunny skies. The second picture is Sarah with her nephew Thomas and sister-in-law, Jane during a walk around Lake Arrowhead. I love your sunnies Sarah.
Julie Oh - December 15, 2021 (New York City, NY, USA):
Here are 2 spectacular shots of this morning’s sunrise by the East River Esplanade, with Long Island City in the background. Quite stunning with the sunrise on one side and the purple sky on the other. Julie also noted that she is happy that in the winter she doesn't have to get up as early to catch the sunrise!
Liana Attard - December 15, 2021 (Singapore):
Liana took this photo she took on a walk just behind where she lives - Labrador Park, Singapore. There are a few peacocks that roam around the park (along with monkeys, otters, and monitor lizards). Pretty cool picture!

Celine Ng Tong - December 12, 2021 (London, England):
Some nice pictures of London during Celine's run this morning ... although it looks like she might have stopped for a coffee or some shopping on way (no judgement from here).

Not a bad view of the London Eye from Brian's run this morning.

Harriet clocked up some good miles walking around Reykjavik and the southwest peninsula of Iceland this past week (as well as walking up and down the aisle of the plane of course). Gorgeous photos -- looks cold though!!

Graham Pearce - December 9, 2021 (Munich, Germany):
Very good to see Graham up walking early with the sunrise - this picture is taken in the Englischer Garten (I think that translates to English Garden - my primary school German is finally coming in handy).

Joanne Newman - December 5, 2021 (London, England):
Spectacular view of Regent Street with the Christmas decorations and lights up. Good to see Joanne getting some miles in while Christmas shopping.

Julie Oh - December 4, 2021 (New York City, NY, USA):
Julie took this picture in her neighborhood of Murray Hill while she was walking her current foster dog; it’s a typical NYC night scene with the Empire State Building lit up in blue and white this week for Hanukkah.

Megen Metzgar - December 3, 2021 (Los Angeles, CA, USA):
Pretty spectacular views from Megen's Scull Rock hike. A little fog adds to the ambience.

Andrew Newman - November 27, 2021 (Clonakilty, County Cork, Ireland):
Well done to Andrew for running his first (of many?) half marathons last weekend around the beautiful town of Clonakilty. Unfortunately, Andrew was too busy running to take any pictures of the gorgeous scenery, but at least we have this picture of this medal. Go Andrew.

Janice Jones - December 3, 2021 (Perth, WA, Australia):
Good to see Janice (and Darrell) getting some miles in with their dog, Landy, despite the high heat in Western Australia at the moment. Landy is a fairly new addition to the Jones family - she is a kelpie/border cross 3 year old rescue dog. She is apparently getting more used to people, cars, bikes and trucks, but still gets a bit freaked out by prams/strollers!

Carole Spencer - November 30, 2021 (Denmark, WA, Australia):
My sister, Carole, sent in these pictures taken on walks on a family trip to the Southwest of Western Australia (Albany/Denmark region) this past week. The pics were taken in the Torndirrip National Park. The first picture is of William Bay (in my opinion, the most beautiful beach on the planet - many happy memories from our annual summer camping trips there), the second pic is of Jimmy Newells Harbour, and third is of banksia bushes along the paths.

Ben Kibbe - November 28, 2021 (San Francisco, CA, USA):
Ben sent in these beautiful pictures shot over the Thanksgiving holiday while walking his dog. The first picture is around his neighborhood. The second picture shows late morning fog on the water along the San Francisco Bay Trail. Very pretty.

Looks like wonderful weather this morning in London for Celine's run around town.

Well done to Brian for running the marathon in Florence this morning, and still having the energy to snap some pictures for us!!

Joanna O’Riordan - November 27, 2021 (Dublin area, Ireland):
Picture from Joanna's nice hike in the rain in the west of Ireland.
Catherine Gagne - November 27, 2021 (Hong Kong):
Spectacular view of Hong Kong from Catherine's hike.. hard to believe it's winter there!!

Looks like a beautiful sunny and crisp morning in Ballyhaise. Nice day for a walk with Cian and Meabh resting comfortably in the buggy.

Eugene Dimitriou - November 25, 2021 (Clougherhead, Ireland):
Interesting picture sent in by Eugene from his evening walk in Clougherhead, a coastal town just north of Dublin Ireland when his mum lives. This is a memorial to the lives lost at sea from this town.
Allie Durr - November 25, 2021 (New Jersey Shore, NJ, USA):
Great picture of Liam and Kieran and the two doggies taking a stroll along the beach.
Alan Buckley - November 24, 2021 (Mamaroneck, NY, USA):
Messi is delighted that this year's Walk to Cork is on again. In this picture, she is taking Alan for a walk.
Ann-Marie Plunkett - November 21, 2021 (Dublin, Ireland):
Here's a lovely photo of Ann-Marie's beautiful baby Hannah, all wrapped up for her run/nap with mum! Last year Ann-Marie clocked up a total of 239 miles running in the Walk to Cork event while 7-8 months pregnant with Hannah. Now that's inspirational stuff!

Robyn Cameron - November 19, 2021 (Armonk, NY, USA):
Gary inspired me to take a couple of pictures of our Bernadoodle "Bernie" on my 2 mile loop walk this afternoon. The second photo is my attempt at a selfie with her.. not a great picture!

Gary Gowdie - November 19, 2021 (Brooklyn NY, USA):
Lovely picture of Gary's very cute puppy "Bucky" on a walk in Park Slope this morning. Taking advantage of the glorious sunny (but chilly) weather!
Megen Metzgar - November 18, 2021 (Atlanta area, GA, USA):
Megen is in Atlanta for the holiday and took these great pictures of some hikes - the meadow photo was taken on a hike near Milton, on Webb Farm on the 17th. The other two are from the Roswell Riverwalk, a great day with her cousin and sisters. A pretty day at the river and a touch of southern culture!
Joanna O’Riordan - November 17, 2021 (Dublin area, Ireland):
Joanna (last year's event leader) is off to another flying start this year with her 9.8 mile run this morning. She lives at the top of that hill in the picture and was complaining about the heat in Dublin at this time of the year (I think this is the first time I've heard an Irish person complain about the heat in Ireland in November)!
Liana Attard - November 17, 2021 (Singapore):
Well done Liana for being the first to log some miles in the 2021 Walk to Cork for David, and send in photos.. I guess you had a bit of a head start being so many hours ahead of the rest of us!!!

These pictures were taken while Liana was doing some hill sprints in the old British fort/defence battery built in the late 1800’s. It was used by the British in the 19th century during the world wars to defend Singapore waters. The bunkers all remain. All overgrown these days and only monkeys, snakes and ghosts are there now but the hill up to the top is long (about 600 metres straight up) and good for getting a little work out in.
